Factory! Factory! Werk me goddamnit! It’s time to pay our respects to one of the finest dj’s of all time who also once went by the name of DON — the legendary DONALD MATTERN a.k.a. Junior Vasquez. This mix takes us back to the original Sound Factory era when Junior was laying down the sounds of the NY vogue scene. Anyone who knows Don, knows that he likes to hang out and hustle with his friends. In this episode, Don breaks new ground and rekindles his love for early 90’s hip hop. This is an episode that never would have happened in 2002. But times have changed. Now that soulless EDM and mainstream hip hop genres have merged into some weird autotune mishmash nonsense, Don actually misses the days when hip hop dominated the airwaves.
