The BIG 80’s are back!!! This mix kinda reminds me of when, in the mid-1990’s, Vh1 started airing a retro music video show called “The Big 80’s.” This was how I came to remember a lot of songs and artists that I had heard on the radio as a tiny kid — but never knew the names of. Anyway, in the 90’s I kinda became known at school and at summer camp as the guy who knew a lot of 80’s music. My bunk at camp won the lip sync contest 4 times in a row when I started dubbing 80’s medleys on cassette and choreographing various dances to them. The counselors knew all of the songs and loved that campers were paying homage to their youth. The lesson: pander to your target audience whenever possible!
