Before Don was playing house music, he was really into the music of the 1980’s. This was true even in the early to mid 90’s, when 80’s music was considered toxic, unfashionable, and outdated. But that didn’t stop him from popping a blank VHS cassette into the VCR, pressing record, and learning to love new wave from the nostalgia tinted view of programs like “The Big 80’s” on VH1.
